For Silversquare Louvain-la-neuve NABS conceptualized a workspace inspired by contemporary environmental challenges. With a theme of utopia and dystopia, the concept of the co-working emerged from two worlds of contrast. With references from both nature and spaceships, the office space shows two distinctive views on the future.
Applying individual creative visions to the office design, custom furniture has been created out of inspiring materials. Sand and concrete printing has been used to create organically shaped, one-material phone booths providing excellent acoustic solutions. Recycled materials are repurposed in flex desks, lockers, alcove workspaces… all in reference to the aerospace scene.
The office space is a heaven of biomimicry, where we seek to imitate nature. The positive effects of smooth shapes, biomorphic forms and patterns are visible throughout the office space and contribute to the human well-being.
NABS designed this space with the creative direction of Theo Demans and Lilian Van Daal.
